Supply chains are the backbone of global commerce. In today’s interconnected world, their efficiency can determine organisational success or failure. The MSc Supply Chain Management programme at Gisma University of Applied Sciences is designed to give you the tools to navigate and optimise complex logistics systems, both regionally and internationally. Whether your ambitions lie in global manufacturing, logistics tech, retail, or operations strategy, this programme prepares you to think holistically, make informed decisions and provide effective leadership.
Through modules shaped by industry needs and supported by our partner SAP, this master’s programme explores the full supply chain cycle – from sourcing and manufacturing to warehousing, shipping, and delivery. You’ll gain real-world skills through project work and case studies, while also exploring cutting-edge topics like blockchain, Internet of Things, and Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
This MSc is designed for students and professionals aiming to advance in logistics, procurement, operations, or global supply chain strategy. It’s suited to those with a background in logistics or international business, as well as career changers looking to enter the field and step into specialist or leadership roles. Whether you’re focused on global trade, digital innovation, or building resilient supply networks, you’ll gain the skills to manage the full supply chain, from production to point of sale, with a strategic, data-driven mindset.
Gisma University of Applied Sciences is state-recognised by the federal state of Brandenburg and has full degree-awarding powers. We align with the high academic standards of the German higher education system.
We are also AMBA-accredited awarded for our Global MBA, a recognition held by fewer than 2% of business schools worldwide, reflecting our commitment to academic excellence and industry relevance.
At Gisma, we believe in flexible learning that fits your life. This programme combines on-campus classes in Berlin with engaging online learning sessions. This blended model includes case work, academic readings, digital collaboration, and real-world project simulations, all guided by our student-centred, project-based teaching philosophy. We also integrate real-world insights through our Skills Sprint Week. In previous sessions, students have engaged directly with leaders from companies like Intel and SAP, gaining practical knowledge and career insights in the supply chain and fulfilment space.
You can study this programme over a one, one and a half, or two-year track, depending on your previous academic or professional experience. The MSc Supply Chain Management is offered in 60, 90, or 120 ECTS credit formats.
The programme is modularised, meaning each module is assigned a fixed number of credit points and concludes with an examination. The standard 120 ECTS track typically takes 24 months full-time and includes a Mobility Window (20 ECTS), giving you the opportunity to gain global experience through study abroad or practical placements. This international exposure is ideal for developing cross-cultural insights and applying your skills in a real-world business environment.
If you already have relevant qualifications or industry experience, you may be eligible for a shorter track, either 12 or 18 months, subject to approval.
Your chosen track (60, 90, or 120 ECTS) will determine the specific modules you undertake. All modules are designed to equip you with both foundational theory and practical skills in creative entrepreneurship, growth strategies, and project management.
