A Foundation Program is designed to help prepare students for undergraduate studies. It bridges the gap between secondary school education and university, while focusing on a subject of interest.

Studying a Foundation Program can also help students achieve the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) points / credits required for university entry.

Schellhammer Business School, in partnership with UK Awarding Bodies, ATHE and QUALIFI, provide the option of studying a Foundation Program online, offering flexible learning opportunities.

University Progression

Upon completion, students receive a Level 3 Diploma.

Students can then apply for admission onto a full on-campus Undergraduate Bachelor’s degree program at Schellhammer Business School or with a variety of UK universities.

Alternatively, students can obtain a Bachelor’s degree through further online study, by completing Levels 4 – 6 and submitting a thesis through an Undergraduate Top-Up Program, also available at Schellhammer Business School.

On admission and enrolment to the online Foundation Program, you are granted access to a study platform where you can access your course modules and study materials. Your study materials include video recorded classes, presentations and recommended reading. On completion of each module, an assignment must be submitted for marking, each assignment counting towards your final grade.

Students have up to 18 months to complete their Level 3 program, you can complete the course in less time, it depends how much time you have to dedicate to your studies.

There are no exams and no strict schedules, you can create your own study schedule.

This program is for individuals who are at least 16 years old, who have a high school education and wish to progress onto a Bachelor’s degree at university, but need additional credits or academic experience to do so.
