The MSc CyberSecurity offers a transformative learning experience designed to develop confident and creative cyber security professionals. Students will gain hands-on expertise in web and mobile security, ethical hacking, penetration testing, and digital forensics. They also master governance, risk, and compliance. Through immersive practical activities and workshops in a flexible blended learning environment, students will tackle real-world cyber challenges using cutting-edge tools. With employability at its core, the programme prepares graduates for high-demand careers in government, business, and industry. The most significant objective is to foster professional integrity and promote exceptional achievement in the field of cyber-security. 

Students in the MSc CyberSecurity will engage in a dynamic learning journey through practical projects and lab-based activities. The course gives students the chance to build real skills for tackling today’s cyber security challenges.  

Working in a supportive, and collaborative, environment, students will face real-world scenarios that encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Regular feedback through practical and project-based assessments will help them grow and develop step by step as well as build both technical expertise and confidence. By the end of the programme, students will be ready to step into high-demand cyber security roles with the knowledge and skills to make an impact. 

On successful completion of the programme, students will have acquired upper-intermediate levels of cyber security knowledge and proficiency.

  4. Acts autonomously to make strategic decisions and develops appropriate practice guidelines, taking responsibility for outcomes in abstract and unpredictably complex contexts. (Setting: Autonomy and responsibility for actions) 
  5. Selects and adapts appropriate advanced problem-solving strategies, methods and techniques to design systematic investigations that define and critically evaluate problems, using specialist information and data in unpredictable and complex contexts.   6. Systematically and critically analyses and evaluates, incomplete and/or contradictory data and evidence, developing effective and advanced methodologies to explain and support conclusions and recommendations in unpredictably complex contexts. (Cognitive skills: Analysis and evaluation) 
  7. Applies and develops advanced interpersonal, team and networking skills to strategically enhance team performance in unpredictably complex contexts and contributes to specialist professional communities. (Practical skills: Interpersonal, team and networking skills) 
  8. Designs and develops advanced specialist projects and/or activities to strategically enhance own and/ or others learning, work or practice within unpredictably complex contexts. (Practical skills: Project and activity design and development skills) 
  9. Systematically synthesises advanced and specialist information and ideas and formulates and develops innovative proposals to address strategic issues or opportunities in and unpredictably complex contexts. (Cognitive skills: Synthesis and creativity) Takes responsibility for leading the systematic and critical evaluation of own and others’ capabilities, performance and development, applying strategic management approaches in unpredictably complex contexts.
